Reserva Particular 2005: Best Sparkling Wine of the Year
The trade publication Vivir El Vino La Guía has awarded Recaredo Reserva Particular 2005 its prize for Best Sparkling Wine of the Year. In the words of María Díez, the director of the guide, and sommelier Raúl Serrano, “the prizes recognise the best wines to be found on the market in 2017, selected from among 1500 contenders evaluated in blind tastings.”
The award ceremony, held on 21 November at the Cofidís Theatre in Madrid, was attended by winemakers, sommeliers, the trade press, and readers of the magazine. Antoni Mata, a member of the second generation of the Recaredo family, accepted the award and thanked the professionals involved for recognising Recaredo Reserva Particular as a “great terroir sparkling wine and an excellent wine for laying down”.
