Turó d’en Mota: top-rated Qualified Parajes
The British magazine Decanter has granted the highest mark to Turó d’en Mota Sparkling Wine in a tasting article focused on the new category of Qualified Paraje. The Master of Wine Pedro Ballesteros has scored this long-aged sparkling wine with 97 points and he has defined it like “a most exclusive wine singing the uniqueness of its terroir”.
Turó d’en Mota was born in 1999 fruit of the inquisitiveness of the third generation of Recaredo for the terroir Sparkling Wines, capable of claiming the qualitative potential of the Alte Penedès county.
Turó d’en Mota 2005 represents the elegance of simplicity: a unique single-vineyard, a single grape variety (Xarel·lo) and a limited production of only 3,984 bottles. A long and careful ageing of at least 120 months in contact with the lees, obtains the most subtle and complex nuances of the expression of time.
