Celler Credo to host second edition of Solidarity Harvest
Celler Credo – the still wine project of Recaredo – is once again collaborating on the Verema Solidària [Solidarity Harvest], an initiative of the Impulsa Fundraising association that brings together land, wine and social responsibility to combat poverty and exclusion. The nearly €18,000 expected to be raised during the campaign this year will be used to fund Mas Albornà (Penedès) and Astrid-21 (Empordà), two organisations that offer programmes aimed at reducing social exclusion of people with intellectual disabilities.
Recaredo will join forces with other wineries in an act of solidarity to co-organise and strengthen the 2017 campaign. This year’s edition has also received the backing of sommelier Josep Roca (of Celler de Can Roca), who, having seen for himself how well the Verema Solidària is working, will offer a tasting and pairing event next spring featuring the wines made from the grapes harvested.
Celler Credo’s strong connection to the land and commitment to people leads it to disseminate a rigorous philosophy that stresses respect for the environment and natural balances, achieved by applying the principles of biodynamic viticulture – a growing method based on respect for biodiversity and the use of completely natural treatments in the vineyard, without herbicides, insecticides or synthetic fertilisers.
