With the aid of spotlights and head torches, the viticulture team sets to work in the early hours when it\u2019s still dark. This allows us to bring the grapes into the winery in the <strong>best possible thermal conditions<\/strong> and obtain greater expressiveness from the fruit. Starting work before dawn also <strong>reduces the time<\/strong> our harvesters have to spend working during the heat of the day, when temperatures can range from 25 to 35\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 257px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5267\" src=\"https:\/\/www.recaredo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/veremanocturna.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"247\" height=\"327\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em><span lang=\"en\">The tractor in the vineyard, loaded with boxes, illuminates the harvesters with the help of spotlights.<\/span><\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>2020 vintage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This wine year has been marked by an especially rainy spring, which led to the appearance of downy mildew throughout the Pened\u00e8s region. Despite these challenging conditions, the meticulous work of our viticulture team has enabled us to obtain grapes <strong>of very high quality<\/strong> with a good level of acidity \u2013 ideal for making long-aged Corpinnat wines.<\/p>\n<p>In a year that\u2019s been particularly difficult due to the outbreak of downy mildew, hand-harvesting, a time-honoured tradition at <strong>Recaredo<\/strong>, has allowed us to <strong>carefully select the best grapes.<\/strong> This technique is also a way to show maximum respect for the natural environment and ensure that the
