Recaredo\u2019s Tur\u00f3 d\u2019en Mota 2009 has been rated 99 points by the tasters for the Gu\u00eda Pe\u00f1\u00edn 2024<\/em><\/strong>, an edition in which only eight wines have achieved this score. The experts describe this Corpinnat, aged for 13 years in Recaredo\u2019s cellars, as \u201ca tasty wine, very lively, balanced, elegant, with fine bubbles \u2013 long and creamy\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Delicate and sublime, the 2009 vintage of Tur\u00f3 d\u2019en Mota expresses an authentic and precious natural environment<\/strong>. The wine year was characterised by a rainy autumn and a markedly Mediterranean summer, ideal conditions for obtaining very lively and expressive grapes, with low yields of 22 hl\/ha and a limited production of only 2,874 bottles<\/strong>. The result is a Corpinnat that truly connects with the landscape and the soil of the Pened\u00e8s, with very healthy fruit that delivers exceptional and persistent acidity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the latest edition of the Pe\u00f1\u00edn guide, experts tasted more than 9,800 wines from over 2,000 wineries across Spain, awarding scores of 95 points or higher to a select group of wines<\/strong>, including other Recaredo Corpinnats<\/strong>. Reserva Particular 2014 de Recaredo<\/strong>, a Corpinnat that will be released this autumn, is rated 98 points<\/strong> and is described as \u201ca powerful wine that\u2019s tasty on the palate, with a very good level of acidity and fine bubbles<\/em>\u201d. Recaredo Serral del Vell 2017<\/strong> is rated 95 points<\/strong> and described as a \u201cwine with a very lively, characteristic style, with a balanced aroma of wild herbs. On the palate, it\u2019s a dry and elegant wine<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tur\u00f3 d\u2019en Mota: the first single-plot long-aged sparkling wine<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Tur\u00f3 d\u2019en Mota<\/strong> is a 0.97-hectare bush-trained vineyard that was planted in 1940<\/strong>. The first vintage was 1999. Released in the spring of 2008, it was the first sparkling wine made in the Pened\u00e8s wine region using grapes of a single variety, Xarel\u00b7lo, from a single vineyard. The vintage was also an expression of Recaredo\u2019s commitment to extremely long ageing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Located in the far north-west of Sant Sadurn\u00ed d\u2019Anoia, in the heart of the Pened\u00e8s region, on the northern slope of Tur\u00f3 d\u2019en Mota, the hill from which it takes its name, the vineyard is the fruit of nature itself, helped along by a human team that observes and respects its laws. Tur\u00f3 d\u2019en Mota is a terroir Corpinnat <\/strong>in the broadest sense, an expression of land with highly calcareous soil, a Mediterranean microclimate, Xarel\u00b7lo grapes, and an approach to viticulture that emphasises observation over intervention<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
