The Corpinnat \u2018Homenatge a Josep Mata Capellades 2004\u2019<\/strong> achieves 100 points<\/strong> in the Gu\u00eda Vinos Gourmets 2025<\/em><\/strong>, becoming the only sparkling wine to reach the highest score<\/strong> and enter the \u2018League of 100\u2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time in its 40-year history, the guide has awarded 100 points to wines unanimously deemed worthy<\/strong> by the tasting committee. Out of the 4,315 wines blind-tasted<\/strong> for this edition, only 9 achieved the top score<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the committee, \u2018Homenatge a Josep Mata Capellades 2004\u2019<\/strong> \u201cis an elegant, harmonious Corpinnat with great structure and silkiness. It features delicate bubbles, a seductive retronasal quality, and exudes youthfulness.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Homenatge a Josep Mata Capellades 2004\u2019<\/strong> was born from the collaboration between the second and third generations of the family to honor the legacy of Josep Mata Capellades, founder of Recaredo<\/strong>, marking 100 years since the beginning of a passion for quality and truly terroir-driven sparkling wines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a blend of 67% Macabeo and 33% Xarel\u00b7lo from old family-owned vineyards<\/strong> in the Alt Pened\u00e8s, this long-aged Brut Nature<\/strong> showcases a fresh, balanced acidity and reflects its terroir. It is a limited edition of just 2,850 bottles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Xarel\u00b7lo, fermented in French oak barrels, and the extended aging of 224 months on the lees<\/strong>, lend depth, delicate and well-integrated bubbles, capturing the essence of the vintage. This wine is a tribute to the patience, time, and dedication of Josep Mata Capellades, who passed on his passion for crafting terroir-driven wines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
