The Spanish Association of Journalists and Writers of Wine<\/strong> (AEPEV<\/a>)<\/strong> has chosen Reserva Particular de Recaredo 2007<\/strong> as one of the Best Wines of Spain in the category of sparkling wines.<\/p>\n

It is an ex aequo<\/em> recognition granted from a double round vote in which most of the AEPEV members have participated. They had to decide between the 1.118 brands proposed in the first phase of the contest, of which only a total of 131 wines and 46 spirits managed to pass to the final stage.<\/p>\n

Recently, the 2007 vintage of Recaredo Reserva Particular has been one of the most lauded wines in the 2021 Guia Pe\u00f1\u00edn<\/a><\/strong>, where this Corpinnat<\/strong> aged for over 10 years, scores 98 points, earning it a place among the best wines in this year\u2019s edition. The british magazine Decanter<\/strong><\/a> has also included Reserva Particular 2007 among the 6 best wines of Spain.<\/p>\n

Reserva Particular: an icon of long ageing<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reserva Particular 2007<\/strong> is a Corpinnat<\/strong> Brut Nature made from a blend of traditional Mediterranean varieties: Macabeu (64%) and Xarel\u00b7lo (36%). This sparkling wine is aged for a minimum of 10 years in the dark of our cellars. In this process, we use stoppers made of natural cork, a sustainable, recyclable material that plays a vital role in preserving the character Recaredo\u2019s long-aged wines derive from their place of origin.<\/p>\n

Reserva Particular<\/strong> is a complex, persistent and rich wine that stands out for its long ageing aromas, accompanied by a citrus and fruity background.\u00a0With a soft and delicate entry, the mouth is intense and tasty, marked by fresh and fresh notes.<\/p>\n

A revolutionary idea<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 1962 Josep Mata Capellades<\/strong>, in close collaboration with his sons Josep and Antoni, created the\u00a0Reserva Particular de Recaredo<\/strong> with the original idea of conveying the delicateness and the subtle complexity of a long-aged wine.<\/p>\n

Josep Mata<\/strong> a member of the second generation of the Recaredo family, explains the origin of this special wine: \u201cRecaredo Particular grew out of a project that our father wanted to share with us. We all worked together to make a wine intended just for our family. But over time we shared it with friends and customers, and gradually it\u2019s developed into what it is today.\u201d Antoni Mata<\/strong>, Josep\u2019s brother, says: \u201cAt the time, the idea of making a wine like Reserva Particular was revolutionary. Up until then, nobody had thought of making a sparkling wine aged for a long period in wooden barrels, with a brut nature style, showcasing the Xarel\u00b7lo and Macabeu varieties.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since 1962, three generations of the Recaredo family have cultivated the character of Reserva Particular<\/strong>, creating a unique style based on freshness and the authentic expression of time.<\/p>\n
