Yarrow
Achillea millefolium
Yarrow is a perennial plant commonly found in meadows, field margins and clearings.
It forms clumps between 30 and 80 cm in height, with leaves so finely divided that they appear to be made up of hundreds of tiny leaflets; this is where its Catalan name, “milfulles” — meaning “a thousand leaves” — comes from.
In summer, it produces clusters of small white flowers, sometimes slightly pink, which are highly attractive to insects.
It is a hardy, undemanding species, well adapted to the Mediterranean climate.
In Catalonia, it usually flowers between May and September, depending on altitude and water availability.

Satureja montana
Savory is one of the most representative aromatic plants of dry, sunny Mediterranean landscapes.
It is a perennial plant that grows to a height of 30-50 cm. Its leaves are rich in essential oils, releasing an intense, spicy and slightly peppery aroma when rubbed.
In Catalonia, it usually flowers between July and September, producing small white or slightly pink flowers that contrast with its dark foliage.
