Recaredo lauded as standout winery in FORBES article
Forbes magazine has singled out Recaredo as a winery of high international standing in an article on sparkling wines in Spain that focuses particularly on the Penedès region. The piece, written by American journalist Marisa D’Vari, highlights Recaredo as an example of a local winemaker that specialises in high-quality, limited-production sparkling wines, which Forbes cites as one of the key things that set Recaredo apart.
Under the title “Rise of Independent Producers: Focus on Recaredo”, Forbes emphasises Recaredo’s commitment to using traditional grape varieties of the Penedès region, an approach based on a deep respect for the region’s wine-growing identity. “Recaredo focuses on indigenous grape varieties and turn them into icon wines. An example is the limited-production, 100% Xarel·lo bottling from the special Turó d’en Mota vineyard”, remarks Forbes.
The practice of dry-grown biodynamic viticulture and production of only long-aged Brut Nature sparkling wines – aspects of production and wine-making described as “unique” in the world – are praised by Forbes as distinguishing features that have won the respect and recognition of international critics.
