At Recaredo we’re committed to using animal traction for ploughing the vineyard where our outstanding Turó d’en Mota is born. We’ve gone back to traditional horse-drawn ploughing in our vineyards to reduce both carbon dioxide emissions and soil compaction.

‘Le Monde’ praises Recaredo’s commitment

Recaredo’s Turó d’en Mota is described by ‘Le Monde’ as representing “the best of cava”: a single vineyard planted in 1940, a single variety (Xarel·lo), and a clear intention to make a terroir sparkling wine that is capable of representing a small part of the landscape of Alt Penedès.

Recaredo Intens Rosat, First Biodynamic Cava Ever

Recaredo’s Intens Rosat is the first biodynamic cava ever to receive the Demeter seal of approval. Recaredo started practising biodynamic agriculture in 2006. Four years later, 50 hectares of own vineyards located in Alt Penedès were certified.
