Recaredo celebrates 50th anniversary of “Reserva Particular” (1962-2012)
Recaredo celebrated the 50th anniversary of its emblematic Recaredo Reserva Particular accompanied by Sommelier Josep Roca and pianist Omar Sosa. To mark the occasion, Recaredo offered an exclusive tasting of six vintages of Recaredo Reserva Particular, drawn from the family wine collection and disgorged in the winemaker’s cellars (2001, 1999, 1996, 1993, 1991 and 1984). Omar Sosa composed and performed six original pieces, allowing the guests to pair music and wine to the sound of jazz, while Josep Roca, the sommelier at Celler de Can Roca restaurant, offered an emotive interpretation of each vintage, drawing inspiration from the history and origins of this family wine.
Ton Mata, a member of the third generation involved in the family business, said: ‘It’s a real pleasure to share so many emotions and snippets of family history through these brut nature sparkling wines, which have been aged for between 10 and 27 years.’
The event was attended by well-known figures such as Txiki Begiristain, former sports area director at FC Barcelona; Andrés Jiménez, former basketball player with FC Barcelona; David Trueba, film director and screenwriter; Sergi Ferrer Salat, owner of Monvínic; and Quim Vila, owner of Vila Viniteca, along with other experts and lovers of wine and fine food.
